Starting Out
Then you can either telly to Seer’s and walk to the Woodland hunting area or you can use ring of duel and telly to Duel Arena and then take glider to grand tree and then walk to hunting area. Or last if you have done Fairy Tale II then you can use the Fairy Rings and telly there use the code : akq.
Walk around to the west side of Eagles Peak. There you will find Nickolaus tent, campfire and some books. Search the book and you will pick up a book called William Oddity’s Guide to the Avian. When you click to read out will drop a metal feather.
Climb the rocks behind the tent. You will see a cave entrance. Click on it. Then click on the metal feather and then the cave. It will cause the mechanism to open and you can enter.
Once you enter you will find a feathered journal on the ground. Pick it up and read it.
Then begin to walk around. Go a bit north and east and you will see a path covered with feathers. Continue around the corner. You will then be greeted by Nickolaus who is on the other side. He will tell you that he had made a huge discovery, more important the taking a ferret back to the zoo. He will ask you to get a couple of disguises for both of you. Pick up some feathers and head to the fancy dress shop owner in Varrock.
HE will tell you that you need 10 feathers, yellow dye, 1swamp tar, and 50 gp to make the costumes. You will get 2 eagle capes and 2 fake beaks. Head back to Nickolaus in the eagle cave. He will tell you to bring them around. You will come to a door that you cannot enter. It says it needs 3 decorative feathers.
Room 1:
Go to the first room, directly across from the door to Nickalaus. Walk up to the pedestal when you do a net trap will be triggered. Operate all 4 winches in the room to let down the pedestal and get the Bronze feather.
Room 2:
Go the next room. It is just off to the right as you went down this hallway. Go in and inspect the pedestal. You will be told that there was something here once and tracks will appear. Continue to “track” to the next set of rocks. You will come to a room with a cavern in the rocks. Inspect the “tunnel” and out will pop a lvl 13 wild kebbit that is much larger than what you have seen. Attack and kill it. It will drop the Silver feather.
Room 3:
In this room you will notice a bag of odd bird seed. Grab 4-5 handfulls of it. It is stackable. Then proceed to these levers. You will have to place seed in the bird feeder in order for the metal eagles so that they will move forward on their tracks and allow you access to the lever behind them.
Order of the levers:
South west corner
Central nearest the tunnel entrance
South east corner
Central, for the second time
North west corner.
Once you have gotten the Golden feather proceed back to the door that Nickolaus is behind. Place each feather in the door individually. It does not matter the order in which they are placed.
As you step inside the room and click “go past” on the eagle. Make sure to have on your eagle disguise (cape and beak). Talk to Nickolaus and he will not recognize you. Then give him his disguise. He tells you he will meet you back at his camp. Proceed out of the nest and back down the rock to his camp site. Talk to Nick and he will teach you how to hunt/trap ferrets. Take the ferret back to Charlie at the Ardougne Zoo and he will reward you.
Reward:
2500 Hunter XP, Ability to hunt kebbits, rabbits, and use eagles for transportation, 2QP.
