101 Ways to Cook A Critter!
Cooking is not exciting. Cooking is not even fun. Cooking can even be boring, but it's a skill that really pays off. Luckily it can also be easy to level your cooking, too!

The easiest way to build your cooking is to build fishing along with it. I like to start out with a small net, an axe, and a tinderbox. Head south of Draynor village and you'll find some spots to fish shrimp. Once you get a full load, head north just a little bit and chop down a tree for fire, and cook the shrimp. After that, drop all the burnt and cooked fish, then head back for another load. Wash, rinse, repeat.

You'll notice your cooking exp will outpace your fishing exp. This is a good thing, you want your cooking level to be *much* higher than your fishing level so that you burn less fish. Because of this factor, I recommend you fish shrimp until level 25. However, at level 15 you'll start to catch anchovies along with shrimp, which do give better exp. :)

After you're finished with shrimp, start to bank your raw fish to cook later. Once you have a nice pile head to Catherby which has a bank and a stove right next to each other. This lets you cook really fast, and will save you time!

Once you reach 25, pause for a moment while you collect feathers. If you're a new player and can't afford to waste cash, continue catching shrimp until you can fish for lobster. Fly fishing uses 1 feather per fish, but greatly increases your rate of experience. There are a couple spots to fly fish, where you'll catch trout, and eventually salmon. Barbarian village has a spot, but I use seers village, just north of the bank. If you are high combat you can complete the Shilo Village quest which gives you a bank right next to the fishing spot.

Continue to cook trout and salmon until you have close to a *65* cooking level. This seems like a huge jump but it's worth your time. Without cooking gauntlets (earned by completing the family crest quest) you will continue to burn lobster until level 73, so stick with fish you aren't going to burn often.

After you reach level 65 cooking you can pretty much stop fishing. Get a pile of raw lobster together (either by cooking or buying), cook them all in catherby, and then trade the cooked lobster for raw lobster from the players fishing lobs in catherby, or by posting the offer on the JaGex forum. People will jump at the chance to trade you, and you'll be left with tons and tons of easy exp.

Continue to flip cooked for raw lobster until you have 85 cooking. By this point cooking gauntlets are required. Family crest is a tough quest, but they help so much that you simply need to make arrangements to complete it. At 85 cooking with oven mitts you will now burn less than 20% of shark. This is important because of the street prices for shark. They sell raw for 800 gp, and sell cooked for 1k. Since you burn less than 20%, you will now start to make money buying raw shark, and selling the cooked shark to players for a profit.

The easiest place I've found to sell shark is in the Edgeville Bank. This is a hot spot for PKers who continually have to buy food! I'll stand there and shout out, "Selling 1k cooked shark, 1m." and sell the entire in 15-20 minutes every time. They may not want to buy 1k at a time, but they will!

I started flipping shark with an initial investment of 1k raw shark. While I took the time to catch these shark, if you have the 800k I'd just buy the 1k raw. With this system I turned 800k into nearly 3m. It also brought me from 85 to 91 cooking, and I now burn only about 5% of my shark! The less you burn, the more you make off each shark!

Because shark give great exp, and they are easily bought in mass off the JaGex forum, I feel you're wasting your time cooking anything else after level 85.
