Blast Furnace
Introduction How to get there What you'll need Operating the furnace The smithing area Introduction The Blast furnace is the pride of the Dwarven race. Located in the Dwarven city of Keldagrem, it is the most modernized furnace in the (Runescape) world. It is even so energy effecient that it can smith metals using half the amount of coal needed in a normal furnace. It is run by a team of players all doing their jobs in perfect harmony to keep things running smoothly. The dwarves keep shipments of ores coming in at all times via the mine carts so you can buy the ores right there. [Return to Top] How to get there The best way to get there is to take a mine cart. It will plop you down right at the furnace so you can do your first load quickly. The mine cart stops are under white wolf mountain and in the dwarven mines, near the pickaxe store. Remember to bring 150gp for a 1-way ticket. You can bank in keldagrem so there is no need to bring extra money or materials. ![]() ![]() What you'll need You will need:
If you have these items take them to the blast furnace and begin. [Return to Top] Operating the Furnace You will need one person to operate the pedals, one person to shovel coal into the coke, someone to pump superheated air, someone who can repair the furnace if parts break (30 crafting), and someone to read the temperature guage and tell the pumper when to pump. Each player except the gauge reader will need 30 in their respective skills (strength, agility, crafting, firemaking). [Return to Top] The smithing Areas The smithing area contains several anvils, and two storekeepers. One will sell you ores, stocked by the dwarven shipments, and the other will buy/sell armour. The anvils require level 60 smithing to use, and if you do not have level 60 smithing, you need to pay 2500 coins to use the furnace. ![]() ![]() |
Random Tip: Be wary of people who offer unrealistic deals. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. |
|
| Scam Alert! Be carefull of players asking you to follow them. While luring into the wilderness is no longer possible, you can still be lured to some dangerous areas in the game! Keep an eye out for players attempting to lead you into dungeons, as you will take damage and die if you dont have a light source, thus allowing them to take your items. |
